“Windows 11 Update Version 24H2” causes the QC PRO shared folder to become inaccessible.

投稿日:

It has been discovered that QCPRO’s shared folders can no longer be viewed after updating “Windows 11 version 24H2”.
As a result, if the client is referencing the inspection list etc. from the file server or QCPRO server,
the inspection list etc. will not be able to be displayed.

Therefore, if you are using Windows 11, please turn off Windows automatic updates.
We will contact you as soon as we know the measures.
(Users who have already updated to Windows 11 24H2 and are able to use QCPRO without any problems can continue to use it as is.)
If you are using a version other than Windows 11, the following measures are not applicable,
but please keep this in mind if you update to Windows 11 in the future.

■Procedure to stop Windows 11 automatic updates.
(1) Press Windows + R and type ‘services.msc’ in the dialogue box ‘Run’.
Press Enter to open ‘Windows Services’.
(2) Scroll down the list of services and find the Windows Update service.
Double-click the Windows Update service to open the ‘Properties’ window.
(3) On the ‘General’ tab, click the drop-down icon next to the ‘Startup type’ option,
Select the ‘Disabled’ option.
(4) Click ‘Apply’ and then ‘OK’ to close the window.
This will disable automatic Windows 11 updates.
If you want to switch on Windows 11 automatic updates again, go to Windows Services again,
Enable the Windows update service

●Reasons for not being able to access the shared folder
From Windows 11 24H2 onwards, to improve security,
Guest users are now blocked from accessing shared folders.
The “Enter Network Credentials” screen will now appear and you will be asked to enter your password.
